For some time we at HPP have realized that the name Housing Preservation Project does not fully capture the range of work we do nor does it suggest the fact that we are a legal advocacy organization.
This spring the HPP Board of Directors decided to rectify that by changing the organization’s name to the Housing Justice Center (HJC).
We think this is a better fit for a group that focuses on legal and other advocacy to both preserve and expand the supply of affordable housing in a variety of ways. Watch for further changes to this website in the near future to reflect the new name.
